Things happen. Other people can be selfish, petty and thoughtless and you did not make them this way. :)

one time i set the not-even-month-old purse i'd gotten for christmas, with the nearly new wallet that had come with it, and the several hundred dollars i'd gotten for christmas money inside it ... on top of a soda machine. and forgotten it. and when i went back to get it, it was gone.

the school found it a few days later, called my mother to tell her it was in the office, in the lost and found box.

and she put off going to get it.

and the school called a few days later to tell her that someone had broken into the office and stolen everything in the lost and found box.

i'm sorry about the lost money and that you're sad. i wish i had something else to say to cheer you up.

I'm sorry the theft occurred. When you let one thing get you down, it feels like everything else is conspiring against you to bring you further down. Don't let it. Rail against the bed; it's warm and comfy, but it's just as bad as the circumstances that bring you down. It'll hold you there instead of letting you be happy, smiling, energetic, not feeding into the sadness or tiredness or overall doom and gloom. I hope things perk up for you soon. The money is gone, some asshole is maybe enjoying it. But if you let that continue to drag you down, it'll be harder and harder to come back up.
